Meet the Associate: Sarena Pickells

Sarena Pickells is a Senior Accountant at Davis & Hodgdon. She earned her BSBA from the University of Vermont with a concentration in Accounting and a Minor in Psychology.

Here’s a brief Q&A with Sarena so that we could get to know her better:

What are 3 fun facts about yourself?

I can play 5 different instruments, I have driven cross country twice, and I can juggle!

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I had to eat one meal a day I would choose artichokes with hummus, with a side of rice. Artichokes are one of my favorite vegetables, and they are sentimental to me as they have been a special occasion family meal for as long as I can remember.

What is something on your bucket list?

I have always wanted to take a ride in a hot air balloon!

Where were you born and raised?

I am a born and raised Vermonter. I went out west for a little while but decided to come back home as there is no other place like Vermont.

Favorite hobbies?

I love painting, reading, hiking, and a good renaissance faire!

What would you do for a career if you were not doing this?

I would like to think if I could do anything and have the same stability, I would have loved to be a classical musician.
