Inspiring the Next Generation of Accountants: Our Virtual Q&A with High School Students

Davis & Hodgdon CPAs was honored to host a virtual Q&A with some local Winooski High School students, giving them a firsthand look at what a career in accounting really looks like.

The WHS students are currently enrolled in the school’s financial accounting program and learning the “ins and outs” of personal finance and accounting.

Two D&H representatives, Ashley Wilson, Manager of the Client Accounting division at Convergent Accounting, and Ali Hassan, CPA, shared their personal experiences, offered honest insights, and answered thoughtful questions from students exploring their future paths. The conversation sparked excitement and curiosity, with many students expressing newfound interest in pursuing accounting careers. It was an inspiring opportunity to connect with the next generation and support them as they consider their career options!

We look forward to holding another Q&A session with these students in Spring 2026, which will be hosted by our *Copper Leaf Financial Wealth Advisors to discuss financial planning-specific careers.
