No need to leave the comfort of your theater seat to take the Grand Tour this spring! Our musical journey includes stops in Italy for an overture from one of Rossini’s comic operas, and in Norway for a delightful miniature by Grieg. Vaughan Williams’ native England is next–for a virtuoso performance of the most popular tuba concerto in the literature. We hop back across the channel to Germany to enjoy a wonderful full-orchestra version of “Death and the Maiden.” Schubert’s beloved string quartet has been brilliantly arranged by Andy Stein of Prairie Home Companion fame!
