Howard Norman in the News!
From The Burlington Free Press:
‘Sadness is adhesive’ characterizes new memoir; A conversation with author Howard Norman
EAST CALAIS — Howard Norman and his wife, Jane Shore, live in a farmhouse on a hillside in East Calais. They bought the house 25 years ago but their associations with Vermont go further back.
Norman, 64, is a novelist who has worked as a collector and translator of Inuit stories. In the 1970s he would come down to Vermont from Canada to write up his field reports. He lived in the Middlebury College dorms, a cheap place to stay in the summer. Shore, a poet, went to Goddard College in the 1960s.
