The Upside of Tax Season: Davis & Hodgdon’s 2021 Community Donation

Thanks to the responsiveness of our wonderful clients we are excited to announce that this year our firm will be donating $850 to two local nonprofits. This amount was split in half and based on input from clients and staff, $425 was given to Mercy Connections’ Women’s Small Business Program of Chittenden County and the Center for Women and Enterprise of Rutland County.

Each year, following tax season, Davis & Hodgdon includes a satisfaction survey with each client’s completed tax return. For each completed survey returned to us, our firm adds $5 to a tax season donation pool that is then donated and given to one nonprofit from Rutland County and another from Chittenden County. The organizations that are selected are based on how well-aligned they are with our cause areas: financial literacy, Vermont’s Green Economy and Entrepreneurialism. This year’s combined efforts allowed us to have a donation pool of $850 that allowed our firm to have the opportunity to mix business with pleasure and help some fellow Vermonters and their charities.
