Mercy Connections Women’s Small Business Program: Start Up
Mercy Connections Women’s Small Business Program has a program called Start Up, which is a semester-long deep dive into business planning. The program is for you (or someone you know) if you:
- Have a solid business idea that you’d like to pursue
- Are serious about learning and taking action
- Can make the time commitment to fit this into your busy life
- Welcome active participation in a small-group environment
- Are ready to make positive change and take control of your future
This small-group experience has been referred to as “life-changing” by many of our previous graduates. You’ll gain clarity, increased confidence, and new connections as a result of this course.
The next session begins on August 24th and will run through mid-December, so don’t wait!
This program qualifies for VSAC’s Advancement Grant Program and partial scholarships are available.

About Women’s Small Business Program
For over 30 years, The Women’s Small Business Program has worked to empower women by providing entrepreneurial education and coaching as they navigate the world of self-employment.
A pioneer in entrepreneurial education for women, the Women’s Small Business Program was established in 1989 at the former Trinity College in Burlington, Vermont. It is Mercy Connections’ first and signature program and remains the only community-based program in Vermont focused on launching women-owned and operated businesses.
Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs is pleased to partner with Mercy Connections. The firm created a partnership with Mercy Connections with a special focus on the Women’s Small Business Program in January 2015 and continues to support their efforts to support a thriving business community made up of economically independent and engaged citizens.
