Firm Administrator
Our Our award-winning firm is seeking an experienced Firm Administrator to play a central leadership role in shaping and supporting operations across the Davis & Hodgdon Advisory Group.

The Davis & Hodgdon Advisory Group is a respected tax, consulting and financial services organization that includes DH CPAs, Convergent Accounting Services, and affiliated entities. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the firm by helping teams work effectively, strengthening internal operations, and supporting a high standard of client service.
JOB SUMMARY
The Firm Administrator works closely with leadership to support efficient, firm-wide operations across staff, systems, and core business functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable operations leader who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, supporting people, and helping a growing organization run at its best.
This is an on-site role based in our Williston, VT office. Additional hours may be required during tax season (January–April) to support staff and clients.
This role requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality; therefore, candidates must pass a background check before starting. Candidate will also be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead day-to-day administrative and business operations across the advisory group.
- Oversee human resources functions, including recruiting, supervision, staff development, and performance support.
- Manage payroll, compliance, benefits, and retirement plan activities on schedule.
- Maintain and improve office systems, processes, and technology to increase productivity and service quality.
- Support operations and technical team members across multiple office locations.
- Coordinate vendors, office systems, technology support, and facility-related needs.
- Manage the property at 33 Blair Park in Williston, VT, including routine maintenance, required inspections, owner relations, the annual owners’ meeting, and monthly bookkeeping.
- Support the Associate Controller with billing, collections, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Partner with client-facing teams to help ensure exceptional service and smooth production flow.
- Support workflow improvement initiatives that increase staff efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted resource to leadership and staff on policies, benefits, and operational processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in operations, administration, or firm management within a professional services environment.
- 3+ years of human resources experience, including staff leadership and support for recruiting or people operations. Experience supporting staff in multiple states and knowledge of related employment requirements is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a supportive, professional, and impartial approach.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $80,000–$95,000 annually, with final compensation based on experience, education, and the strengths a candidate brings to the role and firm.
