President Obama signed the JOBS Act into law on Thursday, April 5th, 2012. The aim of the legislation is to help small businesses grow through simplified regulations and easier access to capital through an emerging strategy called “crowd-funding”.

The “crowd-funding” legislation allows small companies to solicit investment from up to 2,000 individual investors; the previous cap was 500. For more information on the legislation visit: http://bit.ly/IsGbKH.
