VT Department of Taxes Posting Delinquencies

The Vermont Department of Taxes now has authority to publish the list of the 100 business taxpayers and 100 individual taxpayers with the largest unresolved tax liabilities in the state. These are fixed liabilities, meaning they have already been through the appeal process. If a taxpayer has been delinquent for more than 90 days after they have exhausted their appeals, taxpayers will be notified via mail and will have 30 days to pay their outstanding balances or enter into payment plans. If, after the 30 days, no action takes place, that individual or business may be added to the list of the most delinquent taxpayers.
