The Vermont Department of Taxes has published new industry guidance for cannabis businesses. The Vermont Cannabis Tax Guide helps new and existing businesses understand Vermont tax laws relating to the commercial cultivation and retail sale of cannabis.
It includes:
- Cannabis Excise Tax
- Sales and Use Tax
- Property Taxes
- Vermont Income Tax
The guide also covers exemptions and special rules for cultivating operations enrolled in the Current Use program.
