VT Outreach

Our relationship with our community has always been the foundation of our success.  At Davis & Hodgdon we are committed to using our resources and expertise to give back and help improve the community in which we work and live.

Specifically, we want to do what we can to contribute to a vibrant and sustainable local economy.

To achieve this we invest and partner with organizations that support our cause areas:

  • Financial Literacy
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Vermont’s Green Economy

These cause areas guide and focus our corporate responsibility strategy. We make a difference through various venues including:

  • Signature Partnership
  • Charitable Giving
  • Employee Volunteer Program

In an effort to strengthen community relations, we are also proud contributors and supporters to several Vermont-based organizations.  Our staff provides a high level of service to local groups including:

  • Generator Makerspace
  • Mercy Connections
  • Women Business Owners Network (WBON)
  • Lyric Theatre
  • Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility
  • Vermont Economic Progress Council (VEPC)
  • Age Well

As part of Davis & Hodgdon Associates commitment to strengthening the community the firm is a proud sponsor of Leadership Champlain, a Division of the Lake Camplain Regional Chamber of Commerce. Members of each year’s Leadership Champlain Class will gain insight into our comunity’s issues in a unique way: through active learning, team-based learning, networking and exposure to community leaders.  The Leadership Champlain program incorporates all this into eight day-long seminars, a two-day overnight retreat and two team projects over the course of the September through June program year.

The firm also sponsors an annual scholarship awarded to Champlain College students. Through the Business Foundation 4 Success Merit Scholarship Program, Davis & Hodgdon contributes each year to support a top-ranking student interested in pursuing an education and career in a business discipline.

We believe in walking the talk when it comes to community and environmental issues. That’s why we installed 96 silicon solar modules generating 23,000 kilowatts of electricity on our building in 2010. We love to share what we’ve learned through this process and are eager to support you in doing your part for the environment.

Our commitment to the environment doesn’t stop there. We are a group of avid recyclers, supporters of local businesses and socially responsible people. We know that by doing our part now, not only will Davis & Hodgdon be around for decades to come but also know that we are preserving our beautiful state for generations to come.
