The New Look of QuickBooks Online
You may have recently logged in to your QuickBooks Online account and been surprised when it suddenly looked different. Over the last several months, Intuit has been rolling out a new “look” to their platform, with full implementation being reached in October 2025. In addition, they will also be rolling out several new features!
New Look
The navigation menu on the left side has been streamlined and consolidated to a handful of icons. Hovering your cursor over an icon will open up a menu when there are additional items to choose from, such as Bookmarks and Reports. Most daily functions that relate to invoicing customers, receiving payments, entering and paying bills, payroll processing and reviewing the banking feed are now all located under the My Apps icon. You can also pin apps you use frequently for quick access and create your own customized menu of tasks and reports to keep everything in one list. Connections from third parties, such as PayPal, Square, or Stripe, are now referred to as Integrations instead of Apps, and are located under an icon near the top right.
New Features
The most notable new feature you will notice is the increased integration of AI bots on the platform, which Intuit refers to as Agents. These AI Agents can assist with various tasks such as sending reminders for past due invoices, generating a bill from an uploaded file, or categorizing transactions from the banking feed. The Agents available vary depending on your subscription level.
Beginning in September, this new look will be rolled out to all users. While it will still be possible to choose the classic view, it is recommended to transition to the new view once it is available. The classic view will be fully retired as of October 2025.
