Where’s My Tax Refund?

Expecting a refund from your 2015 tax return? Checking the status of your refund is easy and secure and you may do so within 24 hours after the IRS has received your e-filed return. Simply go to www.irs.gov/Refunds and click “Where’s My Refund” in the middle of the page. You will be prompted to enter your social security number (securely) and see the status of your refund.

NOTE: If you filed a paper return you may not see the status of your refund for as many as 4 weeks after mailing it.

If you are a Vermont resident looking for your refund simply visit: https://secure.vermont.gov/TAX/refund/. You will also be asked to enter your social security number along with your zip code.
