Winner of Davis & Hodgdon “Foundation 4 Success” Scholarship Announced

Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs is pleased to announce the winner of the 2012 “Foundation 4 Success” scholarship!

Monica Birchmore, a freshman at Champlain College majoring in Accounting is this year’s recipient of the annual scholarship sponsored by Davis and Hodgdon Associates.  Monica, an Addison, Vermont native was presented with the scholarship certificate of achievement on Wednesday, December 5th, 2012.

“Based on her strong academic performance to date, specifically in Accounting and BUS 110, as well as early and active involvement in the Accounting Club activities and what we have seen thus far, we expect Monica to be a strong Champlain College accounting future graduate”, said Professor Nicole Morris.

Each year, accounting professors from Champlain College select one student to receive Davis & Hodgdon Associate CPA’s $1,250 merit scholarship. “As part of our commitment to strengthening the Burlington community, the firm is proud to sponsor the annual scholarship and reward high academic performance to a deserving student”, said John Davis, CPA and Managing Partner at Davis & Hodgdon. Through the Stiller School of Business Foundation 4 Success Merit Scholarship Program, the firm contributes each year to support a top-ranking student interested in pursuing an education and career in a business discipline.
