INTUIT SUPPORT FOR QUICKBOOKS 2007 TO EXPIRE

If you are currently using QuickBooks 2007, QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 7.0, or Point of Sale 6.0, it is important to take note of the following information:
 
Effective May 31st, 2010, Intuit will be retiring the following programs:
  • QuickBooks 2007 for Windows
  • QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 7.0
  • Credit Card Processing Kit version 2
  • Invoice Manager 2007
  • Point of Sale 6.0
The following services being used through the above products will also retire on May 31st:
  • Payroll Processing
  • Merchant Services
  • Billing Solution
  • QuickBooks Email
  • Online Banking
  • Technical Support
Davis & Hodgdon Associates recommends upgrading your software every 2 to 3 years because Intuit only offers support going back three years.  Once the 2007 version is retired at the end of May, Intuit will offer support only for users running QuickBooks 2008 and above. Due to Intuit's policy, we have instituted a similiar policy with respect to data files for older versions.
