Professional Staff John W. Davis, CPA, CFP, PFS, CVA – (Extension 112, johnd@dh-cpa.com) has over 30 years of public accounting experience. In 1990, John founded John Davis and Associates, CPA's. John has successfully completed the certification process with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and earned the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). John has also been awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation by the AICPA and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from the IAFP. John focuses in the areas of strategic planning for family businesses, business sales and acquisitions, alternative sources of financing, and business valuations. He is also involved with the financial and estate planning for individuals. John is a member of Vermont Society of CPAs (VSCPA) and the AICPA, John is the past chair of the Lake Champlain Workforce Improvement Board and is a member of the South Burlington Rotary.
Bret L. Hodgdon, CPA, CFP, CFE– (Extension 116, breth@dh-cpa.com) Bret was admitted as Partner in January 2005 and now leads the Audit and Accounting Department for the firm. Bret earned the title of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 2007 and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) in 2008. His ownership and commitment to the firm’s future is represented with the decision in 2006 to change the firm’s name after 16 years to include Hodgdon in the marquee. Bret is a graduate of Lyndon State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Business Administration. Since 1998 he has worked with a variety of clients providing audit, tax and consulting services in a number of specialized areas such as non-profit organizations, the construction industry and wholesale/retail. Bret resides in Jericho with his wife Nicole, his daughter Grace, son Gavin and their dog Callie. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and tennis. Bret is an avid sports fan who lives and dies with the Boston Red Sox.
Dawn G. Grenn, CPA– (Extension 118, dawn@dh-cpa.com) Dawn has over 22 years of public accounting experience primarily in the tax and consulting area. She relocated to Vermont from New Orleans, Louisiana where she was a member in the firm of Freedman & Grenn LLC which offered comprehensive tax and consulting services. She is a member of the AICPA and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is licensed in Louisiana and Vermont. As a resident of Essex, she enjoys hiking with her husband and two daughters.
Mari Huff, CPA, CVA – (Extension 114, mari@dh-cpa.com) Mari has over 10 years of public accounting experience in tax, consulting and financial statement preparation and review. She recently received her Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). She relocated to Vermont form Florida where she was the sole owner of the firm Mari Huff CPA, PA. She is a member of the AICPA, NACVA and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is licensed in Florida and Vermont. Mari resides in the Burlington area with her husband, daughter and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, kayaking and traveling.
Matthew Cleare (Extension 133), matthew@dh-cpa.com) Matthew Cleare is an Senior Accountant with Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs. Matt is a graduate of Champlain College with a Bachelors Degree in Business and a concentration in Accounting. While attending Champlain he was selected to be a peer tutor in math and accounting. Matt is the Assistant Treasurer of the Turning Point Center (TPC) of Chittenden County. Matt works with a variety of clients providing tax, audit and consulting services. Matt is originally from Western Massachusetts. In his free time he enjoys hiking and camping.
Jessica Ingram (Extension 128, jessica@dh-cpa.com) Jessica Ingram is an Associate Accountant II with Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs. Jessica is a graduate of Champlain College with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and is currently preparing for the CPA exam. She has previously worked as a bookkeeper for a local non-profit organization in Burlington. Jessica is currently the Treasurer for Rebuilding Together- Burlington Chapter. Jessica is originally from Southern Maine but currently resides in South Burlington. In her free time she enjoys pursuing a passion for photography.
Zachary Manchester - (Extension 124),zach@dh-cpa.com) Zach is an Associate Accountant with Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs. Zach is a graduate of Champlain College with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. He is currently preparing for the CPA exam. A Charlotte resident, Zachary spends his free time with his wife, family and friends, working on his project car and home-brewing ales and wines. Zachary was also the 2008 recipient of the Excellence in Accounting Scholarship.
Kelley Boyden (Extension 119, kelley@dh-cpa.com) Kelley has joined Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs as an Associate Accountant. Kelley is a graduate of Saint Michael's College with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Business Administration. She is currently preparing to sit for the CPA exam and in her spare time she enjoys coaching and playing soccer along with various outdoor activities.
Miran Gosto (Extension 115, mgosto@dh-cpa.com) Miran is currently a student at the Community College of Vermont (CCV) working towards an Associate degree in Business with the goal of earning his Bachelor's degree in International Business. He is a graduate of Essex High School and the Center for Technology - Business Academy I and II. While at the Center for Technology, Miran interned at local financial and accounting firms. He enjoys music and various athletic activities.

Nathan Rice, MBA – (Extension 113, nathan@dh-cpa.com) Nathan is our Entrepreneurial Advisor. Nathan works with a variety of clients providing management consulting services. Services include QuickBooks Reviews, overseeing bookkeeping services, office administration consulting, and other business consulting services. Clients benefit from Nathan’s experiences in the public sector as well as the service and banking industry. Nathan is a graduate of the University of Vermont and an M.B.A from Champlain College. Nathan resides in Shelburne with his wife Sarah and their dog Chase and in his spare time can be found working on their horse farm or watching the Atlanta Braves.

Kathryn C. Baccaglini (Extension 111, kathryn@dh-cpa.com) Kathryn C. Baccaglini is our Firm Administrator. With several years of business management experience, she brings her knowledge in the areas of human resources, contract and facilities management, government contracting, and marketing to the Firm. She is responsible for daily office operations, as well as finance, personnel, and network operations. She is a graduate of Elon University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and currently resides in Essex with her husband and their dogs, Elvis and Zoë.
Jo Ann Plante – (Extension 127, joann@dh-cpa.com)Jo Ann is our Firm's Executive Assistant, bringing over 20 years of administrative, legal, and human resource experience. As the Executive Assistant she is responsible for handling client billings, receivables and assisting in tax return and financial statement processing as well as supporting our Staff with various deliverable responsibilities. Jo Ann resides in Milton with husband Joe, son Joshua and daughter Brittany. She enjoys gardening, painting, boating, biking and home improvement projects.
Anna Perreault – (Extension 110, anna@dh-cpa.com) Anna is our firm’s Client Relations Associate, bringing a vast administrative and retail background. She handles the reception, scheduling and front desk area for our firm as well as assisting in tax return processing, client mailings and a number of other administrative tasks. She also assists as our JDA Financial Services coordinator. Anna’s prior experience includes customer relations and managing a family bridal business for over 20 years. She resides in Colchester with her husband Rick and two sons Matthew and Derrick. Anna enjoys gourmet cooking, skiing and boating on beautiful Lake Champlain.
