Professional Staff John W. Davis, CPA, CFP, PFS, CVA – (Extension 112, E-mail Address: johnd@dh-cpa.com) has over 29 years of public accounting experience. In 1990, John founded John Davis and Associates, CPA's. John has successfully completed the certification process with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and earned the designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). John has also been awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation by the AICPA and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from the IAFP. John focuses in the areas of strategic planning for family businesses, business sales and acquisitions, alternative sources of financing, and business valuations. He is also involved with the financial and estate planning for individuals. John is a member of Vermont Society of CPAs (VSCPA) and the AICPA, John is the past chair of the Lake Champlain Workforce Improvement Board and is a member of the South Burlington Rotary.
Bret L. Hodgdon, CPA, CFP, CFE – (Extension 116, E-mail address: breth@dh-cpa.com) Bret was admitted as Partner in January 2005 and now leads the Audit and Accounting Department for the firm. Bret earned the title of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 2007. His ownership and commitment to the firm’s future is represented with the decision in 2006 to change the firm’s name after 16 years to include Hodgdon in the marquee. Bret is a graduate of Lyndon State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Business Administration. Since 1998 he has worked with a variety of clients providing audit, tax and consulting services in a number of specialized areas such as non-profit organizations, the construction industry and wholesale/retail. Bret resides in Jericho with his wife Nicole, his daughter Grace, son Gavin and their dog Callie. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and tennis. Bret is an avid sports fan who lives and dies with the Boston Red Sox.
Dawn G. Grenn, CPA – (Extension 118, E-mail address: dawn@dh-cpa.com) Dawn has over 20 years of public accounting experience primarily in the tax and consulting area. She relocated to Vermont from New Orleans, Louisiana where she was a member in the firm of Freedman & Grenn LLC which offered comprehensive tax and consulting services. She is a member of the AICPA and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is licensed in Lousiana and Vermont. As a resident of Essex, she enjoys hiking with her husband and two daughters.
Patrick Orloff– (Extension 119, E-mail address: patrick@dh-cpa.com) – Patrick Orloff has joined Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs as a Senior Accountant. Patrick has relocated to Vermont from Colorado where he has worked in accounting since 2001. He was an Audit Senior specialized in the Real Estate & Hospitality industry with Ernst & Young. He was also an Internal Audit Manager with a large publicly traded company in the resort and mountain industry. Patrick is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors degree in Accounting and a minor in Business Economics.
David Brace– (Extension 121, E-mail address: david@dh-cpa.com) David has provided a full-range of services in the area of audit, tax, and consulting to clients at Davis & Hodgdon since 2005. David is a graduate of Champlain College with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. He is currently working towards his Global M.B.A degree from Southern New Hampshire University, in addition to sitting for the CPA exam. David also serves as an adjunct accounting professor at the Community College of Vermont.
Nikki Anderson – (Extension 130, E-mail address: nikki@dh-cpa.com) Nikki Anderson has joined Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs as an Associate Accountant II. Nikki has relocated back to Vermont from New Hampshire where she has worked in public accounting since 2006. Nikki is a graduate of Champlain College with a Bachelors degree in Accounting as well as an M.B.A from Southern New Hampshire University with a Graduate Certificate in Finance. She is currently preparing for the CPA exam. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and participating in outdoor activities.

Matt is a graduate of Champlain College with a Bachelors Degree in Business and a concentration in Accounting. While attending Champlain he was selected to be a peer tutor in math and accounting. Matt is the Assistant Treasurer of the Turning Point Center (TPC) of Chittenden County. Matt works with a variety of clients providing tax, audit and consulting services. Matt is originally from Western Massachusetts. In his free time he enjoys hiking and camping.

Zachary is a graduate of Champlain College with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. He is currently preparing for the CPA exam. A Charlotte resident, Zachary spends his free time with his wife, family and friends, working on his project car and home-brewing ales and wines. Zachary was also the 2008 recipient of the Excellence in Accounting Scholarship.

She has previously worked as a bookkeeper for a local non-profit organization in Burlington. Jessica is originally from Southern Maine but currently resides in Shelburne. Miran Gosto (Extension 115, E-mail: mgosto@dh-cpa.com) Miran is currently a student at the Community College of Vermont (CCV) working towards an Associate degree in Business with the goal of earning his Bachelor's degree in International Business. He is a graduate of Essex High School and the Center for Technology - Business Academy I and II. While at the Center for Technology, Miran interned at local financial and accounting firms. He enjoys music and various athletic activities.

Services include QuickBooks Reviews, overseeing bookkeeping services, office administration consulting, and other business consulting services. Clients benefit from Nathan’s experiences in the public sector as well as the service and banking industry. Nathan is a graduate of the University of Vermont and an M.B.A from Champlain College. Nathan resides in Shelburne with his wife Sarah and their dog Chase and in his spare time can be found working on their horse farm or watching the Atlanta Braves.

Kathryn C. Baccaglini (Extension 111, E-mail: kathryn@dh-cpa.com) Kathryn C. Baccaglini is our Firm Administrator. With several years of business management experience, she brings her knowledge in the areas of human resources, contract and facilities management, SBA certifications, and marketing to the Firm. She is responsible for daily office operations, as well as finance, personnel, and network operations. She is a graduate of Elon University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and currently resides in Essex with her husband and their dogs, Elvis and Zoë.
Jo Ann Plante – (Extension 127, E-mail address: joann@dh-cpa.com)Jo Ann is our Firm's Executive Assistant, bringing over 20 years of administrative, legal, and human resource experience. As the Executive Assistant she is responsible for handling client billings, receivables and assisting in tax return and financial statement processing as well as supporting our Staff with various deliverable responsibilities. Jo Ann resides in Milton with husband Joe, son Joshua and daughter Brittany. She enjoys gardening, painting, boating, biking and home improvement projects.
Anna Perreault – (Extension 110, E-mail address: anna@dh-cpa.com)Anna is our firm’s Administrative Assistant, bringing a vast administrative and retail background. She handles the reception, scheduling and front desk area for our firm as well as assisting in tax return processing, client mailings and a number of other administrative tasks. She also assists as our JDA Financial Services coordinator. Anna’s prior experience includes customer relations and managing a family bridal business for over 20 years. She resides in Colchester with her husband Rick and two sons Matthew and Derrick. Anna enjoys gourmet cooking, skiing and boating on beautiful Lake Champlain.
